Default Preperations to install supercharger

I just bought a used S-trim package to go on my 94 and I have a few questions I am hoping to get some advice on.
My car is an LT1 that I am currently running a very mild LPE 213/219 .500 lift camshaft in. I have a set of stock home ported heads on it with larger valves breathing through Hooker shortys and stock exhaust with an X pipe. I guess my home port job worked fairly well as it turns out 326 RWHP @ 5900 and goes through the quarter in the high 12s @ 106, all the while idling, sounding, and driving like a bone stocker.
My goal is for it to continue with its stock style personality until I decide to put my foot in it, so I am thinking of a very covservative setup and tune. I would like to get it to or just over 400 RWHP without having it feel like an old school hot rod, I am not interested in monster numbers on this particular car.
So question 1. When I did the headwork I installed the thinner Impala gaskets and kept the stock combustion chamber sizes. I think this bumps the compression about 1/2 point. Am I going to need to remove the heads and install a thicker gasket and/or enlarge the combustion chambers in order to get to this goal without detonation on ordinary premium?
question 2. I currently have the car tuned near perfect with the knock sensor turned off and right to the edge of detonation without actually getting any on 93 octane. I am looking for suggestions on what to do with the initial tune so I dont burn this thing up first time I stomp on it. There is a near 50 HP difference between the stock tune and the one I am running right now with this combo so I sure hate to go back to that starting point.
Question 3. Suggestions on injector sizing? Can I get away with a set of 30s?
Thanks
Roy

Not neccessarily. You will, however, need to run lower boost pressure than you would at stock compression.

Sorry, but you'll absolutely need to start at stock timing. I would even say start at stock timing -2 to -5 degrees and work your way up. You won't have too many knock events before things go south with your setup. Oh and if that cam isn't setting off the knock sensor, absolutely turn it back on.

I believe you just purchased the kit off of the for sale section? If so, it showed a boost retard box. The crane box has a vacuum line and you dial it to reduce timing x degrees for each pound of boost as it increases. Also, it has a fmu which will increase fuel pressure with boost and in effect increase injector size. Not sure what size you need but wanted to add this info. that I have found while doing research on mine.

Edit to add this link which you may find helpful. http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...s/4GV020im.pdf
