Default Help Cam Swap Completed NO FIRE !

Engine just turns over but does not even try to start, appears to be no ignition fire, I pulled a plug wire and no spark. Where do I start first? Coil, ignition module, Opti-Spark? Everything worked fine before I pulled it apart. Did I have to have the #1 cylinder at TDC before I installed the opti? Didn't think so.

94 LT1 non-vented opti-spark.

the Opti can be installed funny, but it will at least give spark, right or wrong.

you need to check all connections - period. You are missing something. Is the ignition module hooked up? is the coil hooked up? What about the various connections on the right side of the intake, that support the opti? Is the ECM hooked up?

Check those, debug from there... It's time for a DVM!! It sounds like an assembly error, versus a component failure.

After further inspection with a test light I realized that I'm not getting any fire out of the ignition module & coil. I have another one of each that I can try but does it have to be bolted to the head to ground?

Check the IAC and the ICM connections, make sure you havent connected them wrong, they are both the same connector.

If its a shot opti you should have a code. From what youve said so far i very much doubt it is.
