Hi guys,
I hope somone can help me. I have a 93 LTI and I need to pull my codes. I know the ALDL is suppose to be under the dash on the drivers side to the right of the steering column but I can't find it. Can anyone tell me exactly where it is and what I have to do to get to it. Maybe a pic? I would really appreciate it.

I dont ever remember coming across a good clear pic of the ALDL on here, i had one of mine but its not where yours will be cause my car is right hand drive. I think there is one in the link i gave you there. Have a look and see what you find, come back and let us know what you get, and we can move forward with it from there
I found it. It was actually not bolted to anything. I pulled it out from under the dash.
I am getting the "SYS". I just had a new tranny put in and the heads done due to a blown head gasket. I hope this isn't anything major. The last time I had the SYS problem I needed a new ECM.

If the car runs fine i cant see you needing a new ECM this time. But its nigh on impossible to say until we get some DTCs out of the CCM and find out why its giving you the 5Y5
Hi guys,
I pulled the codes in module 1 and I got 3 history codes (13,72,74). When I got to module 1.4, the CCM diagnostic function, everything was fine until the last test, the horn. It would not turn off. I'm not sure how long the horn is suppose to sound during the test but I'm pretty sure not as long as it did. I had to pull out the paper clip to stop it. I didn't get to modules 4 and 9 yet but the SYS is no longer flashing. The car runs fine and horn is fine so I'm not sure what that was all about. By the way, my battery and alternator are new. Should I do any further testing or just wait until it happens again.
DTC 13: Driver information switches circuit is open or shorted to battery voltage
DTC 72: LCD Dimming output circuit is open or shorted to ground
DTC 74: LED Dimming output circuit is open or shorted to ground
Check the codes first and see what is still there. (Hope you cleared them from last time!!)
Section 8D of book 1 in the GM service manual.
Id say youve got a loose plug at the CCM or somewhere along the way at a guess, so start by checking that, then move onto the other stuff.
If you dont have a GM service manual let me know and i will post some more info if you need it.
