I suggest the tpis again. I have hookers and the ease of installing the tpis is a bit easier. Some problems I have with the hookers is spark plug clearance (on vortec heads). The spark wire boots just barely clear and are subject to burning. The bolts also do not have the stand off that the tpis has. That makes the install easier imho.
For some reason my steering shaft rubs the headers on turns. Im not sure if that is a problem with anyone else but it is on my car.
That is my suggestion

i have only had tpis. but from the horror stooris i have heard bout other companys. i got them on that alone.i have angle plug heads as well so that helped me with the #7 plug clearance issue
the above non-american aren't bad.......I have hookers, the only thing I didn't care for was I thought the ceramic coat could be better but fitment was good and no issues. I do like the way the Melrose and Stahl look, if you are not to concerned w/price.
I wnet with the TPiS at first but instead cancelled my order and went with the hookers because they were tuned and even though TPiS were the most popular choice there were a few horror stories that scared me just enough to go with the Hooker's..... However when i received the headers i was a bit concerned with the quality. they have not been installed yet because it has been pretty cold plus i need to have a shop mod the Hooker Y-Pipe to fit my cat
not trying to hijack but it seemed useless to start another thread,,,, i have hooker headers lt on the way and need gaskets for them,, where and what brand should i buy.... thx
I think the whole "tuned" thing is a joke for a streetcar...Minute you have to put a ding in them to get them to fit that whole theory goes out the window. Same with starter mounting difficulty. Just bought a set of nice tuned headers, and to be honest I wouldnt buy another. Too much of a PITA installing and playing octupus installing the starter.
Shoulda grabbed the Hedman Elites and called it a day. Oh, and saved about $200.

Technology has dramatically increased as of late. They now make header gaskets that don't ever require re-torquing. Install the headers, torque it and that's it - for good.
