Actually, I think that you are on the N side, and I might be able to assist. Let me knwo what your intents, and I will advise. The best thing would be to have you come up to my place this next weekend (Woodlands area), and we can discuss what you want and an appropriate game plan.
IMO if your going to do a cam, you better have headers and a tune planned
with the LT-1 I'd go with like a crance 503 cam, upgraded springs, headers(coated)
you'll have a hard time staying under $2k though
If I were to sell my 93 vette with a cam in it, would the value go up or down, or stay the same?
This is always the question w/ upgrades and it will depend on the buyer. As you can see from other CF post, some prefer an unmolested bone-stock car that was kept in a bubble, waxed twice a week and driven under 45 mph until they decided to purchase it while others might value the upgrade.
Just keep in mind that some equate performance upgrades w/ driving the car hard. Not an easy answer or decision but you should be fine w/ a cam swap. Depending on how aggressive the cam is, they may not notice it unless you point it out.
