What would you say to a heads up race between you and me....? No breakout, pro tree, first one to the finish wins? I'll take my chances with no roll bar. It'd certainly be fun! We're performing similarly(Close e.t. and mph).Just a friendly suggestion.

Sorry JD but I couldn't set something like that up knowing you not 11.99 legal. The track has been very good to me but thats what happens when you hve been racing there longer almost 35 years, thats longer than most of the Challenge racers have been on this planet including yourself and i'm not knowingly going to jepordize that relationship. I lost one racer yesterday because he was warned repeatedly and still continued to run well under the 14.00 for conv'ts. I'm not going to loose another.
So install a rollbar, I can get you a good deal and lets have my 11.50 no breakout, heads-up pro tree class. It would be fun.

Thats a reat Idea but I NEVER run on test and tune nights. I only go when I can run in a REAL eliminator.
That sounds alright. I just blasted it... with this air, it feels like it had a little LONGER Gas Pedal! It doesn't usually leave a smoke cloud off a full punch off idle...it sure did just now :D.
I am waiting for the slicks I am borrowing to get here. Then it's off to the track to see how deep in to the 11's it can go. Keep me posted Mack.

If you go as "DEEP" into the 11s as the WAX is on your car, you will be in the 10s :D
Or if you go as DEEP as my :bs You will have Mackey, Ralph, Brian, Dennis, Chris.... et al.. all covered...

That's funny... cause I was thinking of challenging Mackey to a heads up race too. Not in my Dad's vette though - in my Mustang, which is a street and emmisions legal 347 automatic (naturally aspirated). It runs comparably to Mackey's car but I might have a slight edge. It's gone an 11.42.
Mackey maybe at some point we can set some match races:
JD's 383 vs. Mackey's 350 (assuming JD gets a rollbar)
Mackey's 350 vs. Fischer's Mustang 347
Panuzzo's LT1 vs Fischer's LT4
I am NOT getting a Roll Bar. I'll get the boot...and if I want to race MORE, I'll go to another track and run there. Those match races sound interesting.
