Had my 96 LT4 Collector Ed. for 2 years now and i finally have the money and hookups to rebuild her to an all out performance street legal race car.

Rebuild looks like will commence in 2 1/2 weeks after the last few parts arrive.... approx 150 act. hours to be completed over two weeks. Then comes the custom paint job: Collector Edition Silver... Grandsport Style.

i considered heads but dont have room in current budget- CNC Portjob on heads and intake would run about 1200 but then i would feel obligated to replace all of the internal bearings since i would have removed the heads, my friend with a 96 formula and 02 650+hp TwinTurbo Firehawk, said it would be a PITA to get get everything re-lined up if i untorqued the heads. I dont want to drop 2+ on AFR and i want everything motor wise to be "undoable" (even though i never will). I want the gains but not the headaches so ive decided stock heads for now. Ive already got a running total of about 10 in parts and i am getting the labor basically for nothing by my friends/coworkers at our vette dealership so im at my limit.
In about 2 years when the payments are done im redoing her with a supered' forged 383, i just want something fairly powerful i cant get used before the 383.
My exhaust should make up partially for the stock heads, she's abit too free flowing now but will leave room for growing. now LT's, no cats, 3" FULL MANDRELS through 3" X to 3" I/O Flowmasters.- Loudest and best sounding Ive ever heard! I will post a vid soon
