I have a 1985 vette with a tpi onthe passeners side of the motor by the valve cover there is a little round vacum canster i'm trying to find out what it's for and what it is called i looked at enging bay pic and did not see a good pic of the motor on the passenger side can someone tell what it's called

This is a vacuum damper valve. One line "T's" off the damper valve and goes to the rear of the plenum. The other goes under the plenum to the front and then "T's" again into the throttle body and continues up to the front (drivers side) to other lines. I am not sure exactly where the line coming off the rear of the valve comes from.
