I've been searching for to buy a LT1 engine harness. I ve bidded on ebay but no sucess. But I found a TPI harness out of a 89 car. Can I use it by modifiying it? I have skill to do but not sure about the sensor connectors and ECM connectors fitment.

anyone have an idea?

Thanks.

no way in hell.

If you need an LT1 harness, get an LT1 harness. They are totally different animals.

The L98 harness was hardwired into the dash, the LT1 uses two harnesses, one for chassis, one for engine, and the twain never really meet. The engine harness is 100% under the hood... the L98 is only 50% under the hood.

Then there are the electrical differences.

It's a mess... epic mess...

Default harness

you need to understand that the computers are different in both applications.
wires are wires, and you can reroute them where you wish.
1. The lt-1 uses the optispark, and the L98 uses a different hall generator with varied voltage requirements. The timing control is different in the computers.
2. Wire colors will not match any book-- you will have to write your own harness manual.
3. component locations are roughly close, except the ignitions are placed at opposite ends of the block, so cut and splice. (which is not a good thing on primary ignition.
4. Maf connectors are different.
5. all of the computer connectors will have to be changed.
6. The good news is they sell bayer aspirin in the large jumbo size .
