57 chevy w/ c4 corvette suspension..air ride??
i have a 1957 chevy belair that i have installed c4 corvette suspension under and am now looking at options for air ride suspension. havent been able to find much on it for the c4 sspensions setup. anyone here done this? it seems that is would be fairly straight forward if i went with the airshocks, but for the air bags....where would i mount the shocks if the air bags are installed in the the shock's original location?
thanks,

I would assume that if you got coilover mounts you could find airbags that are the right size. Look for the mounts first and see if anyone can match an airbag to length.

so the only feasable route for air suspension would be to go with the airshocks as oppossed to the air bags, for sake of mounting issues, correct?
coilovers would definately be easier and i am tempted to go with them, but i would like to check out the air suspension also.
thanks for the reply's

Check and see what Air Lift has available these days. Also, you might want to look at the air bags from large trucks that have air suspended cabs. Oddly enough, I've been toying with the idea of an air or air assisted suspension on my Corvette.

Are the original transverse leaf springs in place? If so, why whould you need/want airbags?
If not, then you'll need to fabricate mounts for the bags and 86 the shock idea.... or go with coilovers.
I'd likely go with coilovers... or fab up some upper shock mounts utilizing the OEM springs and shocks, keeping the original suspension geometry (making alignment and service/parts a lot easier).

I have their catalog at home and they make setups for the Vette setup front and rear. AND if you call them, they can also do custom parts and pieces work for you too.
