Default Ride too stiff

My car is fitted ZR1 rear shocks and spring.....but it only weighs 2700 lbs....

The end result is at speed if I hit a moderate bump I put my head through the roof.... ....

Is the problem the shocks or the spring...?....

Shocks. Get some later model FE1 Bilstein's and you will be set. I went from the FE1 to the Z51 HO and it is much stiffer over the bumps with the same spring.

Dayum, sure wish I could get into that simple black/white world.
The reality I'm living in is much, much more complicated.

On the top of the tech/perfomance page look for the "sticky" topic that says c4 technical summary and FAC. Should help answer most of your questions. But I have one for you... how did you get your car so light!

I would immagine on a regular weight c4 changing the shocks alone would do more. In your car, being so much lighter, those springs must be part of what is making it stiff.
I'm no expert though. Someone should chime in with an exact solution for you.
I just wanted to say NICE CAR!!!.

It is both shock AND spring. I would look for a FEI (standard) spring and match that with Bilstein HD (not Sport Z51) shocks. That should give you less stiffness when the spring is compressing and still give you good damping on rebound. BTW my Z51 does the same as nowwhat's car and I'm 6' 5" so I crack my head pretty hard sometimes!

Got under the car....the shocks are the 2058s....or Sport...2056's are the HDs for the z51 or conv....so I ordered 2 of the 2054s..standrd HD....
