There should be indicators on the rocker panel, no? You can pretty much lay down on the ground and look underneath to see the appropriate spots.
yes i saw those marks, but thought that was only for the jack that is provided with the car,,?? so does the guy whose lifting the whole car off the ground with a post lift or sizzor lift use the same place?? thanks
I've had my C4 on a lift a few times. I always put the lift points on the frame in the front, just behind the front tires. The frame turns in toward the motor and there is a large flat area on the frame to put the lift under neath. In the back there is a area just in front of the rear tires where the frame turns towards the rear end. There is pinch points in the frame rail that you can put the lift ends underneath, but be careful for the fuel and brake lines. Just use some common sense, and take it up slow, shouldn't be a problem.

You don't want to put the lift ends on the jacking point marked on the rocker panel.
I have lifted my car with a jack many times. The way I do it:
Front: I can fit my jack under the front crossmember...just under the harmonic balancer. My jack has a nice flat surface and the front of the car goes right up. 2 ramps under the tires and the front is up.
Rear: I put the jack to one side of the exhaust y pipe, where the rear arms meet the rear end. A 4x4 piece of wood helps with keeping the jack away from the stainless and it goes right up. Although it is not centered, it is stable and it lifts both tires at the same time. 2 ramps under the rubber and on the creeper I go.
