Pulled the injectors (what a PITA) and found this:
Injector resistance is fine, it's getting signal but I'm guessing it isn't opening properly unless someone has a different idea that might be the problem. Have another set of refurbed injectors to put it but I really don't want to do this twice. Considering doing a valve job while I'm in this deep. 135k miles on an 86, any suggestions? Arlon
Arlon: assuming you are getting a signal to the injector AND you have ignition to that spark plug, you probably have a clogged, dirty injector. Before I would go to the trouble of installing another set into the engine, I would have Rich Jensen at Cruzin Performance check and clean the new set of injectors. Rich may be able to clean and service the old ones too. I see many people looking for 86 - 88 good, used Bosch style injectors. These are the best replacements for the problematic Multec injectors used on 89 thru 91 engines. Here is Rich's email address if you want to use it: rich@cruzinperformance.com
If you got good compression then a valve job wont fix it if you know what hole ir not hitting swap injectors with oone that is if it dont move to the one you swaped with its a fire problem plug,wire.cap.
