Has anyone here ever purchase any brake products from VBP in
ST Petersburg Florida. I'm looking to upgrade the brakes on my 86 and
they have an upgrade package for $1300.00.
Depends on what your planning to do, front, back, Both, style, etc... more info is always better..
If your looking to go 13" rotors and Z06 brakes, check with Superior Chevy, Chris, there web site has a parts listing and Chris and Superior are good on pricing.
I have purchased front composite spring, s/s brake hoses, front and rear sport rotors and brake pads, genuine company to deal with, excellent service, if you need any tech info, email Pattie who is very helpful, products appear to be excellent quality and discount is available to Forum members
If you look for the parts you can do any brake upgrade using stock parts for half that much.
The bracket adapters are the only thing you won't find at Superior Chevrolet.
The C5 upgrade is actually less expensive if you have 17in wheels.
I did the J55 upgrade on my 87 for $550 (I still have 16in wheels)
I bought the front spring for my '91 from them.
Was very satisfied with their advice, price, service and shipping.
Tell them what you want to do and they'll tell you which of their products will do it best for toy.
They'll even tell you if a competitors produsts will work best for your application.
I spent $2000 with them on suspension components. They were very helpful and thorough. The suspension parts are top notch. I've never bought any brake products from them other than braided lines. I'll definitely deal with the company again.
Thanks for the positive comments guys, I really appreciate it.
We have several options. It would be best for you to call us toll free at 1-800-237-9991. This is a project that you should really discuss with myself and/or my tech guys. Alot to type about.
One point I would like to mention though. Regardless of what upgrade you go with and who you purchase it from, it would be best, in my opinion and from my past experience, to get them all from one source. These kits are designed with components that all work together and there are adaptor brackets that have been designed to work best with certain products. I am not saying they will not work with other products, but I have had a couple of customers by from several sources and had fitment problems.
