Simple exhaust pipe question...
I'm looking to change my cats because the car is sputtering out of the tail pipes (with old motor and then new motor) and crap came out of the cats.
Is exhaust pipe diameter measured on the outside or inside of the pipe?
Is exhaust pipe diameter measured on the outside or inside of the pipe?

I believe it is on the inside. But if you are mating two sections together with a slip joint that the male side would be measured on the outside while the female piece would be measured on the inside.
