OK! Im sure that this has been answered 100 times buy I need a answer on what to buy and where to spend some money.
I have a 85 Vette and friends with various years Camaros with TPI. I have decided that It is time to buy a burner and software for some engine mods that will be coming in the near future for me and for them.
I need to know from the guys on here that have purchased these items, what all should i get and where should i get it. I am not wanting to skimp on this so even if it is a little pricy I still want to know what is the best on the market.
If somebody would happen to have a list of the items (with part numbers if possible) and where to purchase them I WOULD BE GRATEFULL!
I opted for the AutoProm from Craig Moates. http://www.moates.net/product_info.p...products_id=54
It basically does everything. There are definitely cheaper alternatives, but it is a high quality product, and the customer service is second to none. TunerPro RT (editing software) is also easy to understand and work with.

YEP, Lots of good reading on third gen from many "guru's" including Marc Mansur, Craig etc. (I think just about everything is coverd)
I agree, I have Moates APU-1, cables and Tuner Pro RT, and the combo works flawlessly, and the support from both Craig and Marc has been extremely helpfull.
Our 85 computer is different than later L98s. I don't know about burning, but not all software out there works for capturing 85 data via ALDL. Ensure the package you're looking at states it works with the 85.
