1.6 Roller Rocker

will 1.6 Roller Rockers Change the sound of the car at idle? and is it a good upgrade?

It will do nothing for the sound. It is a very good upgrade. It should knock off a tenth or two at the track. You wont feel seat of your pants with it. Remember to add behive springs with that mod.

what is the benifet? does it increase cam lift a little over the stock ratio?

Yes, by 1.6/1.5, which is about 7%

Roughly .031", just bought me a pair from vinnies87. Not sure why he sold them. Perhaps it's the clang, clang, clang, if not adjusted properly.

So I adjust for zero lash, then go 1 turn. Am I correct? I'm not hijacking your thread gator79. It may be usefull info for you as well...

I've been eyeing the Comp Cams Pro Magnums, they are steel and more durable than the aluminum ones, and they claim they have less rotational inertia than the aluminum ones.

Dunno. Dyno's aren't my thing.

But if it gave me 1/10th at track I'd be pleased.

As mentioned, you probably won't feel 10-hp, so if you're not racing, I don't see the point in spending the dough.

I think 10 -13HP is what the general consensus is. I read an artical on staggering 1.5's, and 1.6's. I remember it gave the same HP as the straight 1.6's, but the engine idled better, was the claim...

When I installed 1.6RR on my '95 with Corsa exhaust it made the idle deeper, but barely noticeable. It changed the sound at cruise as well, even my wife noticed that.
