Stock Rim Size for 88-96
Hey guys, I'm about to make an impulse buy on some new rims and I need to know what my stock rim size for the fronts are. Is it a 8.5" or a 9.5". This is for a '93. I know its 9.5" in the back but I tried searching for the info on the fronts and I couldn't find it. Thanks.

Stock wheel size varies for those years. This site can list some:
http://corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/
To see what size tire will fit, what size rim, check out tirerack.com Choose a tire then select specs.
Personally, I would use the same size tires so that I could rotate them.

Thanks for the link, here's the info I got.
The 1993 wheel design was now a "machined" wheel giving a polished finish rather than the previous model year's gray paint coating. Front wheel size for the base model decreased to 17 x 8.5 from 17 x 9.5 and the front size decreased from P275/40ZR-17 to P25545ZR-17. RPO Z07 received 17 x 9.5 wheels and P275/40ZR17 tires both front and back
Looks like its an 8.5" rim. I'm looking to upgrade to A-molds in the front so I can do the C5 brake upgrade. I'm going to do 11's in the back to get me a bit more traction, but the sets only come with 9.5's in the frong and want to avoid a possible clearance problem.
I have turbo setup and part of the down pipe sticks in the wheel well. I know for sure the 8.5's fit and I don't want to put the 9.5's in there and find out I'm melting the tires. Looks like I'll be getting a split set then.

I guess I'm not going to SERIOUSLY race it, but once your daily driver surpases 600hp you tend to look for some way to get traction back. And since I'm upgrading the rims anyways I might as well add a little rubber to the drive tires.
