I was wondering if anyone has used the complete weatherstripping kit for a C-4 coupe from Willcox? How is the fit of it....the installation, quality...and performance with wind and speed?
Thanks.
Their customer service is the best. If you have any problems (which you probably won't) they will make it right. The weatherstrip seems top notch.
This has nothing to do w/ the weatherstrip kit, but.. I noticed that the outer window felts they sell are just a little smaller than stock, which would not normally be a problem, but my car was repainted w/ the factory sized ones in place. Now there is a strip of dull paint along the top of my door between the good paint and the new window felts. This exposes the edge of the newer paint too. Oh well..... Just one more thing to make my car seem like a piece of sh&%. I noticed these parts actually shipped from Corvette Central, unlike all the other parts they sent me.
It is ridiculous how it cost more to paint these cars than they are even worth. Oh yea, I would not hesitate to order the weatherstriping from Wilcox again, I will be getting factory window felts though.
I have used their kit on my 88 coupe. The installer ripped the hatch piece and wilcox made good on a replacement with no problem. The quality seems to be very good. If I recall correctly the whole kit with the exception of the hatch piece was corvette rubber brand. They explained to me that the hatch piece was a poor design from the factory.
