Bucking in 2nd gear

Bucking in 2nd gear
This has only happened once but was pretty bad. Went up through first to about 4,000 rpm then into second and was holding revs at about 3,500rpm (along side of another car to see if he was going to get on it) and then the car started to buck like I was playing with the gas pedal. The car has acted a little bit like this before but only a hint, nothing serious. Otherwise the car is a rocket. Any ideas?
