Default to X pipe or not??

I installed muller eliminators yeterday on my bone stock 93 I like the sound and have zero resonance in the cab. this is way better than the magnaflow mufflers I had installed. I was thinking of going with a X pipe but don't want to get the resonance back and also don't want it any louder. what are your thoughts? will it be louder? do I risk resonance again? thanks

I'm in the same boat.

General consensus seems to be that the X-pipe will reduce noise a bit, and should reduce resonance.

I'm there too, I have flowmaster 40's with the stock resonator and I want to do eliminators and am considering an X pipe. The 40 series make more noise in the car than out.

with the eliminators on at cruise you can actually hear the wind rushing around the windows. now play with the go pedal and it gets loud

I have the super 40's and the resonator removed with the X pipe
put in it's place. It did quiet it down a bit but it still sounds good

Buy it. Install it. If you don't like it, sell it.

Default installed today

I had the X pipe installed today and it sounds great. it is a more mellow/smooth tone. still sorta loud but I get compliments on the sound.
it did quiet it some and did not create any resonace the stock resonator is just straight thru pipes with very few holes in the pipe, can't see where it would do anything. here is a link to the X pipe I used. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1643448

$60.00 installed
