Max Rpm
I know there IS a physical REV LIMITER on these things.
But it's only a 'one-shot' limiter.
When a rod comes out the side of the block it's safe to assume the internal rev. limiter was triggered.
Get a new engine and another new identical rev. limiter comes with it.
Just 'yoking' ya. I don't have any idea what the real answer would be.
There's probably a few guys here that can tell you what their engines were turning just before the internal rev. limiter went off.
