Windshield CRACKED tonite!!!!!!
Since I joined CF i've been reading some pretty weird posts about product failures. These are the same products that work fine for every other car on the planet. Is the corvette just soo unique that even the same rubber compound fails on it?
I'm leaning more towards the ability of the installer. I've been reading about waaaay too much stuff failing that only seems to happen to CF members.

I had very good luck with Safelite. In fact, the manager called me ahead of my appointment to let me know that he had experience with Corvettes, had done quite a few, and that I may need to leave the car for two days so they can make sure they do it right. He said, "these don't go in like normal windshields and I want to make sure we're very careful with the weather stripping and the seal."
The install looks perfect and no leaks. I did supply them with a new lower seal since the original one was cracked all over -- highly recommend for $28 at your local Chevy dealer. Overall I'm very pleased and even though I just paid the deductible the total bill was only $250. They told me they had over 6 hours of work on the install and I have no reason to question that claim.
