Default Ignition module and pickup coil test

I have no spark with my 88tpi setup small dia. distributor with remote coil. Im not getting any pulse to the coil. 5v reference is only 2.2v to the distributor. how do I test the pickup coil and module?

Pickup coil-Connect a ohmmeter to each terminal of the pickup coil wire and groud it to the dist base. It should indicate infinite resistance.

Connect a ohmmeter between both terminals of the pickup coil connector. Flex the wires by hand to check for open circuit. It should indicate a steady value between 500-1500 ohms. If either test fails, replace the pickup coil.

Ignition module-Place the dist cap upside down on a work bench. Connect an ohmmeter to both terminals of the cap coil assembly. The reading should be 0 ohms.

Connect the ohmmeter between each od the terminals and the center contact of the cap. Be sure to use the high scale on the ohmmeter. If both readings indicate infinite resistance, replace the coil.

So i ohm checked my pickup coil and it passes the dist body test. So i set my ohm meter to 2kohms and it read roughly .72 so that is about 1440ohm right? if it read 1 it would be 2k?? havent used it much...
