Default SW Headers ON!!!

Well, we started last night putting a set of stainless works headers and RT cats on my 94 LT1. Used the write-up from 4REGT4 as a guide - a big help. Upon start-up, sounds like only one leak around a cylinder - will let it cool and tighten everything. One question - immediately upon start-up I picked up a "service engine soon" light. I reused the 2 front sensors and bought a new rear sensor. Any idea(s) what may have set this code off?

Pulled the code and it showed a cooling sensor. Sure enough, during header installation we knocked the sensor off of the water pump. As soon as reconnected, digital water temp begin to work and code cleared.

So far so good on the re-tightening. No pictures though. But I will offer my observations. I already had the Corsa exhaust on and I ordered the SW headers along with the RT cats. After removal of the oem cats, the RTs connect directly to the headers and SW ships a stainless connection pipe that slips on the other side of the RTs. We measured out where the connection pipe would mate to the Corsa and the Corsas were cut. The connection pipe then slips over the Corsa. Attached the included stainless clamps and finished. The only thing I may do is run by a muffler shop and get some tack welds - although really does not seem necessary right now. Nothing difficult about this job just time consuming - very rewarding though!

Hi

Did you notice if the sound inside the car changed a great deal?

Did you remove the resonator?

I want to do the same thing in a month but am worried it is going to make it to loud inside the car.

thx

I had these put on my 95 A4 daily driver. No problem with interior sound at all. I retained the stock resonator and mufflers and it sounds great. Try it without the resonator if you like and if it's too loud you can put it back
