Help me choose.....
I am selling my car this weekend, and have set up a test drive for Saturday in one of
the two vettes I have to choose from. Help me decide which one to buy.
1989 Coupe
Dark Red Metallic
Auto
Glass Top
New Paint
New Tires
New Weatherstripping
89k Miles
$10,000
Have driven it and it is solid as hell, can't see one thing wrong with it.

I would check them both out and see. At first glance the blue one has both tops which is fairly rare, has less miles, and is a little cheaper. You also have all the service records as well, for me that counts for something.
Also the new paint on the red one could be hiding somehing.
Use your best judgement in any case.

Is that a complete rear clip or just the bumper cover? If so, check the frame rails, could of been smacked really hard. For a relative sample of consumer complaints about the '89 visit http://www.nhtsa.gov. You can check the Camaros too since it was offered with an L98 motor (and also poke around and see how it stacks up against other the model year Vettes).
