My 94 corvette with a 2 year old 10,000 mile transmission just started leaking under fly wheel cover. I just had torque converter/rear seal replaced and tranny rebuilt 2 years ago. It leakes about a quarter size in 3 or 4 days> should i worry about it? I really dont want a shop to mess it up. What can be leaking? thanks
Unfortunately I would say the same pump seal is leaking again.
It could have been chewed up by a score in the torque comverter pump drive tube that mates with the seal.
Also, you could have a plugged pump seal pressure relief drain passage, but that is not as likely.
Also, there is a seal loacking tab retainer that should be installed over the seal. If that is missing, the seal can push out and leak like a siv over time.
