Tom, thanks for checking in. Rad looks great, sorry for all the messages on your office machine...I got a little over-anxious.
I decided to run both the internal EOC and my external to keep temps down. I was quickly exceeding 250* on track with the external, I'd like those temps down in the 220 range if possible.
Anyway, do you sell any adaptors from SAE to AN threads? I'm not sure where to get them around here and this needs to be in and running by Friday...
I was able to call around and I found everything at a local speed shop that I didn't know existed. They had to order the SAE to AN adapters but had everything else. It's turning into a mess under there...
Block line to radiator is SAE / AN, then the line from the DW rad to the external cooler is AN / SAE (different size, of course), then back to the block. My oil system is going to be 11 qts...if I ever have temp issues again this car is going to the bottom of a lake.
One more thing - what is the torque spec to the radiator?
I used the German torque spec of goodentite!
They have an O-ring to seal.
If you have not assembled the hoses yet, I found using a vise to hold one end still while I wiggles on the stainless steel hose to it worked well.
I found this online to help me figure out how to assemble the fittings as I never did it before. Has a variety of different fittings and hoses and how to guides.

The adaptors are steel, I don't want to over tighten them and damage the aluminum thread.
BTW, for those who also might need this info, Summit has all of the fittings, hoses, and adaptors, I just wanted them today so I could finish tonight.
Steel fittings are what I used too. Good and snug but don't go overboard. And hold the fittings with a wrench when tightening the hoses onto them. Don't forget to lube the O-ring a bit.
Don't pay attention to the 8AN that is really a #8SAE (3/4-16)
Interesting...I'm glad we have many different thread types from which to choose
Earl's has the 8 SAE and call it 8AN. Aeroquip makes an 8 AN to NPT but no SAE. The local hose and fitting shop sold me an 8AN to 8 SAE but the flange is 37* and the AN flange is 45* so it won't seal.
Cripes. Earl's parts on the way from Summit, looks like my one day job is up to 5 days.
