Default 500hp @ flywheel, ?

Thank you again guys for all the help. the plan is 500hp @ the flywheel, 383 ci, 10:2 to 10:5 c/r, afr 190 or 195 heads, tpis base (ported if possible). mikes plenum and slp runners (mega-ported), cam is still in the air so guys please assist, fast stand alone, btw its not going to have one shread of smog equip, well maybe a cat so that i can rest @ night. no s/c, no nos, just na. i really would like to get there with the tpi, i kinda think it looks cool, i dont want to run the mini ram if i dont have to. if anyone has gotten the with a similar set-up plese help. also my engine builder is very good and thinks he can get it, but hasent done a tpi car, so were trying for it. Thanks again.

I dont see a way to get 500chp with a TPI without forced induction.

What you have listed would be around 400hp.

Physically impossible to get 500 CHP without heavily porting a Super Ram or going to a Mini Ram/LT1 style intake. You will need heads that flow over 270 @.500 lift and the intake to match. I have seen a few Superram cars that made 400-420RWHP and that would hit your goal, but much easier to do with a Mini Ram or a modified single plane intake.

So I would either lower your goals or start shopping for an intake. Just do a search here this has been discussed so many times it's not even funny. No matter what runners/ported plenum or base you run it's just not going to happen. Not to mention by the time you buy the runners, ported plenum and larger base you could have bought the other intake anyway.

Look at the single plane intake conversion from Jeb.
Some of the faster vettes use it.

I agree with that money its easy to buy Tpis miniram may be cost little more but not much, but think of getting another 40-50 hp just by switching intake, with Tpi its just impossible to 500 chp.

I wouldn't say it's physically impossible. Very difficult? Yeah, but not impossible. There are people out there that are getting pretty close. Check out the attached link. This describes a 355 TPI in a GTA that passes California smog.

to get a 383 to 500 chp all the above about intake and head flow are correct the other problem is the cam may be too agressive for effective street use. ergo dies at stop lights

I would....here is a quote directly from that link.

"New motor specs. Uncorrected 365RWHP, 354WTQ. 456FWHP and 442FWTQ at the crank???"

I call BS on the dyno numbers for sure, not to mention they are uncorrected. There are 383's out there with better intakes that aren't making 365 at the wheels, so I think a 355 with TPI hitting that number is a bit far fetched.

golenengineservice.com check this website out, they sell a long block that is supposed to put out the exact power you are looking for, you will just need to buy the miniram, which is what I think they suggest. You can find the 500hp engine under the carbed applications, I dont see why you could put fuel injection on it.
