We have an 88 with about 90k on it and it needs new injectors. Do you guys have any recomendations? I was thinking about a set of Bosch injectors but I think they are 29lb? what is the stock lb rateing? If I went with the 29lb injectors would it pose a problem? or would I have to install a adj fuel pressure regulator? Thanks in advance
Stock is 22lb/hr. If I recall correctly 88 doesnt have the Multec injectors, which means yours can be serviced. (I thought multec's started in 89, cant recall for sure) If it does have Multecs, then Rich wont touch them.
You can either do that or replace them with Ford SVO #24s and buy an AFPR to go with it.
They are not Multechs. Send them to Rich at cruizinperformance. Don't use five0motorsports. Do a search of fiveomotersports on this forum.
with the above. I believe stock injectors for your car are 22.5 lb/hr injectors. The injectors in your car can probably be useable for about $100 for cleaning and flow testing by Rich Jensen at Cruzinperformance. Here is his email address: rich@cruzinperformance.com. He is a good guy and will be straight with you.
Putting in larger flow injectors will just add to the problems with your car.....unless you compensate to the increased fuel flow by a new chip and fuel pressure regulator. More fuel does not make it run better!!!
