Transmission shift time question for Tunercat

Default Transmission shift time question for Tunercat

Posted this in the tech section with no response so far, so giving it a go over here:

On the 4L60-E the shift times can be adjusted in the settings using tuner cat, i havent adjusted mine, but does lowering the 2nd>3rd and 3rd>4th shift times make the shifts feel more firm and positive?

Yes, although they are not actually shift times. They are a poorly-understood parameter into an adaptive shift routine.

As far as a I have seen in four years of looking, there's nobody out there who really knows how they work who is also willing to share.

But lower them. It does help. Offhand, I think mine are at 0.2 at higher TPS, but you should seek corroboration for that. There's info out there if you google, its just sparse.

The best info I ever found on the 4l60E parameters was in the archives of the LT1edit mailing list. The only way to search those is to download them into a mail program.
