Window motors
I have an 85 Corvette (project). Will new tape fix slow windows or do I need new motors? How about lubrication? Adjustment?

Can't speak directly to vettes, but on a number of other cars I've always found that disassembling, lubing, and aligning the window mechanisms and motors makes a world of difference in the speed.

The slow window operation is very common on the early model C4's, I upgraded my driver side to the newer style and it works great, the passenger side works but is slow as Christmas. I installed a new ribbon and lubricated everything and it was still slow and so I upgaded.
My drivers' side quit, so I replaced it with the newer unit. It zips up & down, while the original pass side is sloooow.
