I want to change my current wheel/tire setup to the 315 combo, but can I use the 285's in front instead of the 275's with 315's in the rear? IF so, any better handling?
As for wheels, I'm only interested in the GS offset, can't deal with the extra inch of the ZR1 wheel. Would it be a mistake to put my current factory rear wheels (17x9 1/2) in the front and buy aftermarkets wheels for the rear??? (I'm concerned with build differences in the factory/aftermarket wheels that might mess with handling.) Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

here's the 315 in the rear, are you going with a stock looking aftermarket wheel. There should be no adverse effect of having aftermarket wheels in the back and factory in the front, lots of people do that
Hey Ross,
Thats what I did put the 285's up front, no problem what so problem what so ever. Additonally I put 335's in back with the fenders flares, I figured in for a penny in for a pound.
As for rims I went with after market rims from AFS. I feel they are a great quality rim for a resonable price. You can check them out on the web, or better yet get ther news rims via ebay auction thats what I did. I was lucky and got 2 new AFS 17x11 Gs offset for 365 total. So check out ebay and search for AFS auctions. great people to deal with... If you have any questions email me...
