My 1990 Vette is in pieces! I need help as to the best resources on the web (or a book other than haynes) to help me put this car back together. I bought it dismantled for nealy nothing, and i need to get it back together. I need diagrams or accessories, vaccum lines, fuel lines, and other misc. hoses and lines! Any suggestions?
You need the help of a local forum member with a 90. Hopefully someone will step up and help out. In the meantime, I would order the Helms manual. It is the best book out there.
I hate my self for saying this but.... Get the factory service manual for 1990, along with a helm's, and if you are facing body construction there are 2 books through corvette central and eckler's that deal with just c4 bodies one for the front half and one for the rear(i cant remember the name but they are part of a corvette only body and paint series).
For the year 90 the factory had a complete set of assembly manuals if you can find them. They are white covers and have everything from the types of clips used to most major details, using them in conjunction with the fsm should do the trick. I know they exist because I did that with a 90 vert, and happen to have a set. They fill three larget (4 or 5")binders. I got them cheap on ebay, but had to wait for awhile. But they sure were worth it. Sorry, but I don't want to part with mine, but I am sure there are others out there.
Another almost priceless source of diagrams and stuff is the GM YY Parts catalog. I have one of the last printed ones for 1993 and there are disc ones out there to put on your computer through 2005 i think. The real added bonus is that you have the part numbers there also!
