Need Headlight help.
The Headlights on my 85 are inop. Unfortunatley I don't have the time to repair them, nor do I know how. I gather from this forum that it is not a difficult fix, but I don't want to attempt it myself. Anybody in Indy want to give this a shot? I will gladly pay for the repair but I would rather have an enthusiast help rather than a face in a shop. Any help is appreciated!!!

What is the problem?
Do the lights come on when the switch is pulled out?
Do the headlights flip up when the switched is pulled?
Do the headlights make noise or one is slower than the other?
Could be a simple fix. (wiring, relays, switch)

After being on this forum so long you would think I could remember to include details. Pass. side will not go up and the driver side would not go down. I used the ***** to at least get them down. After some investigating I found the pass. side would go down and keep running so I unplugged it and after using the ***** thedriver side does not go up.

It would be to your benifit if you owned a FSM. I, here recently, troubleshot my headlight system. Back a year ago, I started working on my 86 and the headlights were not a problem. Then one day one would flip up and the other not. Then sometimes neither would flip up. I used the FSM to test the wiring, relays, and switch. It tells you what wire should have voltage at different headlight switch positions. All the wiring checked out o.k. and found out that one relay was shot and the other was intermittant.
