What kind of plug wires do you prefer? I searched past topics but didn't find anything. What brand do you guys like, and what size is needed? I might one day upgrade the ignition so do I need 10mm?
I would highly recommend the MSD wires. They are very well put together, very low resistance, very heat resistant. They just don't fit the stock wire looms. I've yet to pull the end off of an MSD wire, it seems like that has happened on every other wire I've ever touched.
You definitly do not need 10mm wires. There is no benefit from the 10's over the 8's other that looks. I really like the Taylor wires. I have them on both my heads and cam car and my 554 RWHP car and have had great luck. The MSD's seem to do great but they do not last. Plan on changing the wires more often with these. The Moroso's, well I just would not use them.
I ran a set of MSD but much prefer the Taylors. I just went from using the normal 8mm wires to the Taylor 409 Race Wires. I don't expect a gain from them, but they sure look bad butt. I do expect them to last a very long while though.
8.5 mm MSD wires...When I put them on in conjunction with NGK Iridium TR55 plugs, and dielectric grease on the connections......the high rpm hesistation I was getting (due to my rusted and bushing worn opti that I found out was bad since I am in the middle of my cam change right now) went away.
