Driver's window not responding. What to suspect?

Driver's window not responding. What to suspect?
What's a good way to diagnose a window that won't move at all? Already checked fuses.

My passenger's side stopped working, but the driver's side worked, fuses were good. There ended up being a bad ground on the regulator. A little solder and it was fixed.

Swap window switches. If it now works, the switch is bad.

Also, if that is not it, the motor may have bound up... give it a good whack with a solid metal object and try that. It may free up the motor. I have seen it work before on older vehicles.

Yep, that's how I diagnosed the window problem on my 86.

My 90 had right side trouble. Yes bad switches. Plus on the 90 I had a hard time finding the switches.

I had a similar problem on my 93 what sucked was it was the motor that was bad and thoese things are a pain to change out

I ordered a replacement from my local chevy dealer and it only took a couple of days to get it.
