I moved the tv over to about the 4:30 position, and adjusted the cable travel for WOT.
It was at the 6-oclock position before, and I tried correcting the late shifts by tightening up the TV, which made it bind at WOT. So now the TV eases into it a bit more, and 3rd and 4th gear feel great. I set the carb back at base idle settings for the meantime.
The T/C is still bogging it down a little too much in drive when stopped, so I'll try a looser converter. And at WOT it backfires/spits through the exhaust sometimes Not sure if its a lean backfire because I put in too low a power valve and the secondaries are leaning it out.
Getting there...
I'll post some pics for you guys in a bit, just finished washing it.

I'd guess a lean backfire would backfire thru the intake and not the exhaust. Possibly ignition?
Hmmmmm, are u sure the drop in idle is caused by TC early lock up? Sounds like a serious vaccum leak to me.... If the TC locked up, I believe the car would shut down because there would be no slippage in the drive train. Anyway, good luck.

I don't think it's lockup, it's just too tight of a converter. This bumps the pressure up in drive with the brake on compared to say, a 2800 stall converter.
Will wash the F150 and put it up for sale as soon as it quits raining... It hasn't been washed (or loved) in about 6 months. I park it under a street light so that birds will sh** all over it.
