Man, thats smokin. Funny the fastest IRS Viper that is running high 8's is yellow. He is still a 6spd too. I think the fastest Supra that is in the 8's is IRS but it is an auto.

People should really not visit that site. It attempts to copy the contents of your clipboard . The site has been like that for sometime too. I don't know if it's been hacked or what but that isn't cool.

The site has likely been compromised in some way. I can't imagine someone with that kind of site doing that on purpose but to answer your question, to steal personal information. Maybe you copied portions of your tax return to the clipboard that contain your SSN or other personal information.
It has been this way for a while as I remember bringing it up here before.....

So how do ya know if something happened when you went to the site? I guess I need to call my I/T buddy, huh?
Is there a way to report something like that? Who would you report it to? Just thinking out loud.
It's not a manual shift car. You can hear it only shift twice in one of the video's. There's a no way a 6 speed car is going to trap 180 MPH in third gear.

yea, I remember that now... infact, I remembered it about 5 minutes after I posted it, but never came back to edit it... my bad... but at least it gave us the link!

You can download this free shareware "Privacy Mantra v2.02" to keep cleaning out your clipboard, cookies, etc. etc.
I use it every day, when I'm on the net

I remember a car just like that from Canada came down to E-Town and ran 8 seconds. It was an 85 or 86 converted to look like the later ones.
I couldn't even close that page because of that clipboard copy thing. I had to use the task manager.
No way that is a stock IRS in that car taking that sorta power. Might be an IRS, but not in the form that we know it as.
To run that sorta MPH (~3000 lbs) it would be making about 1300hp at the REAR wheels! Absotuley no way it would hold behind a 6 speed.....the glide is most like cushioning the launch but still that is a LOT of power to send thru a D44 - to the tune of about double what I make and mine was borderline. The ujoints would never take that sorta punishment.
And if it is a stock unit/components, then I can almost assure you that it is not raced on a regular basis. Unless the guy owns DANA and has a truckload of spares in the parking lot.

One fast car though what ever is in it.
Have a tendency to agree there is a trick somewhere. I broke three spindles in a row in a mid to high 10 second six speed car. It was: bang, bang, bang and the car went 8 inches in three track outings.
I remember John Meaney's car put 1,200hp through the stock D44 with an auto, on drag radials not slicks. Perhaps it's a turbo thing, or they're leaving the line soft and making it up on the top end?
BTW
I removed the page with the clipboard issue.
The video page doesn't seem to do it, so I left it.
There is a yellow Viper running a 6spd T56 and a Dana 44 with 3.08 gear running about 1600 hp with twin turbos hitting high 8's. He still has a/c, custom stereo with sub box in the back. I wonder how he keeps his together? He launches hard enough to pull the wheels and just about torque off the front fender due to twist.

True, but that's a Viper setup, totally different than the C4. Unfortunately...
