sys err???

Every now and again I get a flashing message that comes up in place of the instant/average mpg on the instrument cluster. I am using a 29c256 chip. Does anybody else get this message and what can I do about it?

sys error

I'm getting the same thing only I get the security light flashing at the same time, three flashes then it stops. This seems to happen when I get the message "service ASR" on the message board.

I have the car at a shop now and they are checking it. When I know I will post the corrective action.

I have a chip I'm using from pcforless but I got that last year aND THIS PROBLEM JUST STARTED WHEN i BROUGHT THE CAR OUT OF STORAGE.

Check your battery - likely bad.

I have the same problem, along with flashing AC controller and codes for SERIAL DATA. I have had no luck troubleshooting any fault. Please post what your mechanic comes up with.
