Do either nitrous route or vader86 route, but my personal vote is for nitrous, NOS-05151 kit (550), NOS bottle heater (135) or Zex-82045 bottle heater (plug in to cig lighter and no wiring issue for 159 from rpmoutlet.com), and NGK spark plug (fr5) which is 1 step colder, and couple of timing retard and u rock n roll.

Don;t buy the eliminators, have your local shop cut off the mufflers and weld on straight pipes. First find the tips you want togo back with (ebay is good place to look).

would a stock 1990 corvette with 118000 miles on it even handle nos? that would be sweet, but i dont think it could. please correct me if im wrong...lol thanks..
I know some cars with over 150K on the engine that have been using a bottle of nitrous a week for the last 100K that haven't ever had a problem. Of course your results may vary, but 118K shouldn't be a deterrent to using nitrous.
Do:
-coated LT headers
-hi-flow cat
-cat back
-toss the frisbee from the WP pulley
-160deg T-stat & switch
-cut back plugs
-bump base timing to 8deg BTDC
-AFPR w/ +2 to 4 psi of fuel pressure
