I was cruising home and my 90 barely made it in the driveway, the engine got pretty hot too. By the way the fuel pump and filter are new. The next day I started it up and idle was rough so I cleaned the carb and the idle ran smooth. So I took it out on the road and same problem, no power, accelerate and it almost stalls out. Service engine light came on. After checking codes I got a 43 code. According to the manual this code is either a wiring problem or the knock sensor is bad. I disconnected the knock sensor and the problem got worse. ????????
Clear your EMC codes, then clean the sensor contacts with a little shot of electrical contact cleaner. They can get caked with oil, grease or grime and throw a false code.
