Default 18 inch Wheel Question....

Hey Gents,

would I be able to fit an 18x10 wheel in the front without it sticking out beyond the fender well?

In short, YES..... however, it depends on the offset of the wheel

Good Point, thank you. I'm looking at Fiskse Wheels. Is there a specific offset i should mention to them if I decide to order?

Or should I play it safe and go with 18x9.5?

thank you!

They are the experts and will know the exact offsets for your model year - just tell them you want 18x10 front and you don't want them to rub or stick out.

I put a 18x11 with a 315 tire and a+50 offset and it sat perfect in wheel well. Turned like a truck though and followed every road irregularity. My guess is a 18x10 should fit no problem with a +56 offset.

Don't know my offsets but Fikse FM/5's, 18x10 front, 18x11 rear:

Oh - and I agree with what BAM says above.

If you decide to go with Fikse let me know and I'll get my serial numbers off my wheels - that should let Fikse pull up the info. Also forum member zelement has Fikse FM/5's

Holy Tire Smokes, Batman! Those are the Wheels I am purchasing! They looks great on your CE! excellent choice!

It's great to know how those will look on my CE Vert! Too bad I can't lower her as much as you have because of the X-Brace.

That picture is now my wall paper....at least until I get my wheels on!

Please send me the serial numbers. I hope you don't mind, that's the exact look I was going for....and here I am thinking I was the only one! lol

Also, what tire sizes did you go with?

Thank you! Thank you!

I've got 18x12's in the front for autocrossing, but I need to keep it off the locks.

I have 18x10.5" C5 Z06's up front (and on the rear) with 295/35-18 tires.

The OE Z06's have a 58mm offset.

Offset is the same for 88-96. 84-87 requires a different offset, or spacers.

I autocross mine, and it doesn't corner like any truck I've driven. But it does follow some of the deeper ruts in the road.

Car looks great! How much did you lower your car and who makes the kit? Is your speedo still accurate after the wheel size change?

18x10.5 all around for auto-x as well. Only issue is my solid end sway bar being a few inches forward can touch at full lock.

Actually CHAOS I said turns like a truck not corners like a truck. Meaning that my turning radius is not as short as used to be with the narrower tires but wider like my Dodge now.

It was lowered when I bought it but I assume it's one of the typical kits.

Speedo is accurate - I have TunerCat and it lets you "fix" that!

I think they did something extra to get it that low, mine is lowered with the kit and yours look an inch or more lower. Maybe softer shocks, mine was lower before I changed shocks.
