I have swapped a few from stick to an auto, but never from an auto to a stick. Because of the time and money to do it correctly, (auto to stick), not alot of guys do it. I remember reading about it a few times here though. Try the search and see what pops up. I have been running a 700r4 behind my 383 for many years with good results.
