I dont mind getting riped off but
I need one Sunvisor support retainer for my 84 ( looks like a little washer with a special cut hole on the center)and I also need the little spring that goes along with this.For the bargin price of $30.00 plus shipping I can get this from Ecklers. I did not mind paying $5.50 per screw for the headlight cover screws some months back but $17.00 for a washer seems abusive.Since the same parts fit up to 96 do you think they are available somewhere else or interchangerable with other GM products?

i beg to differ... that washer has been custom engineered to fit that specific application..its also a genuine reproduction of a very similar washer that came stock on that particular model vehicle ...
the tolerances have been painstakingly reproduced with some of the most modern and high tech guages known to man.
in addition that washer has been coated with a material known to resist rust and corrosion until it has been scratched,installed or handled in any fashion.
for only 17$ ( plus postage and handling,any applicable surcharges and a small additional surcharge for rush service) you will receive within a few short weeks this miracle of modern engineering technology.
im prepared at this time to offer a 100% non-binding,hypothetical,honorary and partial opinion that that washer will be THE finest washer you ever purchased. and will probably fit .
as much as i hate it.. i too am forced to buy hyper inflated items to preserve my beloved c-4...unless i can fab them myself or get lucky at a salvage yard!!
