Default 1994 dead

Hey everybody, I'm back.
so yesterday I started the car , no problem.
After maybe 20 seconds it makes a whistling sound, not belt noise a whistle. It has done this a bit in the past but it always goes away after a few minutes.
So after idling for about 6 minutes I get in and gas it and it stumbles so gas it some more and stumbling gets worse until finally it dies.
Tried to restart but stated acting like battery was dead.
put the charger on over night but will only crank a bit and then the solenoid starts clicking. voltage @ batt is 11.48
Checked for codes 1. c12 no codes 4. h55 h25 9. ---
Recently did not pass smog and I was going to check EGR but have not yet as I am not sure about how to check it.
Any clues deeply appreciated and Blessings on you!!!

No Bites!?!?
Anyway I jumped the car and it sounds like it wants to start but will not.
I pulled #2 spark plug wire to see if there is any spark at all , there is.
at least in # 2!!
Checked the fuel rail for fuel, There is.
Check more tomorrow

Whistling noise is interesting.

Check more plugs, like 7 more, and see what is going on there.

You said it had fuel at the rail. Was this tested with a gauge, or did you just push the pin on the schreader valve? There is a great divide between fuel present and enough fuel present. If you had adequate pressure pushing that pin should've yielded a virual gieser stream of gas.

My first guess, and it's just a guess, is the fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacuum hose and check it for signs of fuel.

Whistling sound...I'd look for vacuum leaks.

Crank but no start, check the basics; spark and fuel? Report back.

No crank? If you have 11.48v at the batter WHILE CRANKING (or anything over 9v while cranking, and you're getting "click-click-click". then you have a bad connection between the battery and starter motor, or a bad starter motor.

Start by fixing the starting system, then check for spark. If you get it running, then check for vacuum leaks.

Code 25 - Air intake temp sensor
Code 55 - Fuel lean mixture

Check connection at air temp sensor or bad sensor which might cause the other code 55.

Code 55 might be set if low fuel pressure and engine is running to lean as sensed by the O2 sensors in closed loop.

You might just do a quick check of the sensor but before I ran after the codes, I would clear them and see if they reoccur. I would also check fuel pressure with a gauge and under operating conditions also.

I'm embarrassed , the night before I was driving home and I noticed fuel was low.
I'll get some tomorrow I thought. So guess what happened????
While looking around under the hood I gave the EGR a squeeze But the diaphragm did not move. So I took it off and worked it a bit, a little carb cleaner and now it seems to work and I have not heard the whistling sound since then. Also the car does not smell like it's running rich anymore.
Thank you for the responses!!
