Default computer question

i recently purchased a new motor for my 88,and it has a f.a.s.t. injection system,with a brand new comp. and wiring harness wich piggybacks into my gm comp,i got the motor for what it has in it like afr heads trw pistons ect.my question is how do i put a carb on it and still have my gm comp run everything else? thank you

You don't. Your ancient carb system isn't compatible with a computer. You will need an old style mechanical/vacuum advance distributor which pretty well nixes any computer engine management. That sounds like a decent engine. Why not leave the existing F.A.S.T. injection on the new engine and keep the technology within the last few decades?

its a great motor the only problem is finding someone in the la area that actully knows what there doing! i have the manual from f.a.s.t that gives the 7 modes you can adjust settings and everything
