Ok... I had considered selling my baby.. but I love it too much and have decided to keep it for life.. heheh.. anyways, the car has 127k miles of faithful service and I would like to show her my appreciation buy freshening her up.. ALOT!

heres my idea Stroke it and Supercharge it...

-This is my favorite option.. but I have some tuning concerns.. this is my thoughts...

I would increase the TB to BBK 52mm, add crane gold 1.6 roller rockers, have the intake ported and polished.. Have the stock LT1 heads heavily worked on.. including bronze valve guides and stainless valves and stronger springs.. new roller cam (any recommendations?!?! - probably lingenfelters or LT4 hot cam). New forged pistons, New rods obviously (but what kind?!?!) , new forged crank (who makes the strokers for the LT1) I would keep the Compression ratio the same and add the ATI blower with7-8 psi boost (not the max of 9psi), hooker ceramic coated long tube headers.. I would keep the cat and have the mufflers eliminated :p:.. of course This would also include a K&N filter...

I am concerned that the intake air temp would be high with this setup since the ATI sucks Engine compartment air.. :U so I would have the hood lovers installed as per a post I saw a few months back (above the fender wells..)

With all that being said.. the Car has an Auto tranny (rebuilt of course) with the stock spec converter and lameo 2.56 gears.. this will be upgraded to a higher stall converter (2600) and 3.55's with a dana 44.. but later on.. the engine needs a rebuild first..

would i need to recalibrate the computer?!? (I'm assuming yes) any recommendations would help.. the time has come... and so will the 11 sec E.T's ... hehehehehheh

:blueangel:

Thanks

Hmmm....A low budget engine rebuild.

A 355 can run 10s so I would skip the stroking. The stock crank will work fine for supercharging. I'd go ahead and get better rods and forged pistons. Drop the compression to 10:1. Rework the heads. Use the stock cam or stock LT4 cam. Stock cams are very good for supercharged engines. Its got wide lobe spacing. Put an intercooler on with the blower. 1.6 rockers are a good idea.

I have heard a lot of negative stuff about ATI blowers.
