atleast i think its a coolant level sensor, mounted on the radiator, inch or so below the cap, passenger side, points toward engine compartment. my sensor is there but the wire is MIA, should i worry about it? what color wire is suppose to plug onto it?

The wire color is either Dk Blu or Dk Grn; my '85 FSM isn't entirely clear on that sensor...

Drk Green and mine comes of a branch in the same wire loom that feeds the fan from the drivers side across the power steering rack and into the sensor. Good luck.

My 85 doesn't have a low coolant warning light. The new GM radiator I installed does. I believe the old radiator is disco'd. You probably have a newer radiator.
