Default Help, Houston!
Who do y'all recommend in Houston to do a LT1 to 383 swap, and who should I buy from? I've been looking at buying from this guy (http://stores.ebay.com/Parish-Enterprises) because he has the best prices I can find. I blew the head gasket in my '95 and want to replace the whole engine. My local mechanic is pretty expensive and doesn't have the equipment to program the computer and run a dyno. I can get a car trailer and tow it to Houston (I live in College Station), if I can find a better deal. Any suggestions?

If you could get the engine pulled out, Ted's machine in Conroe could build your stroker for A LOT less than what you are looking at on the Ebay site.

I could probably get it pulled out. It overheated, so instead of rebuilding it, I want to replace it.

Why replace it? You probably didn't hurt the block. Might have trashed the heads though.

How did you get your 383? Did you rebuild or buy new, and who did it?

I had Ted's do the machine work and I built it.
CAM in Spring did the balancing.
